Dell Studio 15 Hangs when power cable is removed

Bug description:
I am using Dell Studio 15 Laptop. As long as the Power Cable is
connected to the Laptop, the laptop works perfectly with Ubuntu 11.04.
However when I unplug the power cable, after 2-3 minutes the whole
system Hangs.
