  compiz crashed with SIGSEGV in GLTexture::matrix()

  zsynch today's cdimage, 3 october 201`4, booted .iso wallpaper flashed then 
went black.  Saw /var/crash entru sodid ubun tubug.
  Had to do sudo service lightdm twice to get a desktop.  commands slow as if 
utopic doing some kind of recovery.
