Bug description:
the system monitor on computer is stating i am still using ubuntu 10.10 but
the online check on ubuntu site is saying i'm using Ubuntu 11.04
- the Natty Narwhal !! system is just not closing
appplications properly and is not displaying my network signal strength icon
This is ater i used the update manager and i did not request an upgrade, just
an update of the existing system. If i could return to 10.04 - the stable
release - i would be happy but there seems to be no option to roll back or
downgrade. 10.04 ran perfectly with no glitches. Since then I've experienced
several problems often with VLC media player which I understand is not a
Canonical product but other applications have been glitchy as well.
