MTP plugin causes Mighty Mouse to hang

Bug description:
Binary package hint: rhythmbox
when activating the MTP plugin to connect to my Sansa player my Mighty Mouse
begins to stutter until it completely hangs.
i could only deactivate the plugin with my keyboard, then everything works
again.
does this mean that i can't use my Sansa Fuze with Ubuntu?
