Hi again,

I found a workaround:

Open Gnome-Shell Activities menu and search for Network Connections

Click on the "Add" button and select VPN on the list...

You're now good to add your VPN settings... when saved, the VPN
connection appear into the Gnome-Shell to right panel functions.

Regards,

Title:
  PPTP connection unavailable

Status in “network-manager-pptp” package in Ubuntu:
  Confirmed

Bug description:
  On Ubuntu Gnome 14.10 (fresh install),

  system preferences -> network -> [+] -> VPN

  has only one choice here: "Import from file" but no PPTP connection.

  The network-manager-pptp-gnome is well installed.
  But no interface for creation.

  Then, I cannot create any PPTP VPN connection.

  Note : In 14.04, this feature worked fine.
