If I want to work as root at somebody's desktop for helping them I want to do it in English - not in the language of the user logged in like French or Spanish. Therefore I want to change the language in my root environment (especially the gnome-terminal) using "sudo gnome-language- selector" (I can't use a French gnome-terminal ;-)
So why am I not supposed to start gnome-language-selector as root? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to language-selector in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1301280 Title: gnome-language-selector: dragging a language does not work Status in “language-selector” package in Ubuntu: Invalid Bug description: In 14.04, daily update, when I try to drag a language I get this message (but only on the first try): /usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/LanguageSelector/LanguageSelector.py:81: UserWarning: No language saved for user 'root'. warnings.warn("No language saved for user '%s'." % os.getenv('USER')) and the drag is unsuccessful.
