Just chiming in. Same problem on Yoga with intel graphics, running gnome3. I can invert the built in screen fine although when I have an external display plugged in as well. Also after inverting I get an extra mouse pointer pointing down right below the functioning pointer.

This is only the case from normal to inverted. All other combinations work as intended. I use Ubuntu 14.10 with intel graphics card.
