Title: Device Not Managed/Device Not Ready AR5007 Status in “network-manager” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I installed with 11.10 Beta2 Alternate x86 from USB WiFi card is AR5007 802.11 b/g Internet will work, pings successful. Network manager does not show any connected networks, or nearby AP's. Network Manager showed "Device Not Managed" This also affects Ubuntu Software Center because i can not install any packages until i am able to get Network Manager to report the Internet connection as up. Upon first restart of the system, all internet was non-functional. Ping's did not work. I attempted to repair it by swtiching "Managed=True" in 'etc/NetworkManager/nm-system-settings.conf' Internet did work after a reboot but Network Manager still showed the internet connection as "Device not Ready" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/871485/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
