Title:
two-finger clicks only register as one finger, unless both fingers are
  very close together

Status in “xserver-xorg-input-synaptics” package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
Two-finger clicks only register as one finger, unless both fingers are
  very close together.

For a long time I found two-finger clicks in quantal to be very
unreliable and unpredictable. Now I realize it only responds to two-
finger clicks if the two fingers are very close together. This is
counter-intuitive and not behaviour I've encountered before.
