A quick fix is to use a newer build, I used the PPA from here: https://launchpad.net/~remmina/+archive/ubuntu/testing Or just do: apt-add-repository ppa:remmina/testing apt-get update apt-get install remmina remmina-plugin-rdp remmina-plugin-vnc
