This problem has magically disappeared, so I suppose that it must have been a problem at Wikipedia (although I can't then explain why the problem did not occur with other browsers).

That arrow no longer has any effect in WebKit-based browsers (e.g., Midori 0.4.3 or dwb 20130503hg). To observe the problem, go to any page at Wikipedia (mobile), e.g., http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebKit Click the up/down arrow to the left of one of the section titles. Nothing happens. The corresponding block should open or close. The arrows work using Chrome or Firefox. They do not work using Midori 0.4.3 or dwb 20130503hg. The buttons work using Midori 0.4.3 on Ubuntu 12.04. They do not work on Ubuntu 14.10, 14.04, or 13.10. lsb_release -rd: Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Release: 14.04 libwebkitgtk-1.0-0: Installed: 2.4.4-1~ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.4.4-1~ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.4.4-1~ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty-updates/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2.4.0-1ubuntu2 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ trusty/main amd64 Packages On 14.10, the corresponding outputs are Description: Ubuntu 14.10 Release: 14.10 libwebkitgtk-1.0-0: Installed: 2.4.6-1ubuntu1 Candidate: 2.4.6-1ubuntu1 Version table: *** 2.4.6-1ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ utopic/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/webkit/+bug/1390189/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
