Public bug reported:

OS = Ubuntu 14.04
GPU = Radeon HD8210 on laptop
Laptop Internal monitor resolution = 1366 x 768
External monitor resolution = 1920 x 1080, linked to laptop with VGA cable

Display setting to display image on external monitor only, with its
native resolution. (Internal display is switched off.)

When setting the 'no tear' option in the Catalyst tool (package
fglrx-amdcccle), the image is truncated on the external display
(the right third on the screen is blank, however the image itself has the
correct resolution so one third of the image is simply not displayed)

The 'no tear' option is usefull as a workaround for bug 772873.

** Affects: fglrx-installer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
