quack is an add-on to emacs (emacs23 as well). After getting it and "requiring"
it in emacs23, it seems to have loaded properly, but doesn't seem to have any
effect on the editor.
Steps taken:
-sudo apt-get install emacs23
-sudo apt-get install emacs-goodies-el
-create ~/.emacs ; adding a line "(require 'quack)"
-start emacs23
-create new .scm file, or simply switch to scheme-mode (M-x scheme-mode)
At this point, when switching to scheme-mode a new option of the quack menu
appears under scheme options.
However, none of the options have any effect on the editor. For instance
newline indentation doesn't work, and also fontification options.
On emacs23-lucid everything works well and as expected.
Tested and reported same result on Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon and Linux Mint
13 Mate.
