login animation on loginscreen, does not annimate :)

Bug description:
when intered the password on the login screen, and hit enter, the should be
an animating dots circulating. it does exist and it is visible, but it does not
animate.
but it doesnt.
to produce :
1. start ubuntu
2. login
3. watch while you login
