Title:
LibreOffice ignores printer settings
Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
LibreOffice won't print double-sided on my HP 8600 printer. This used
to work correctly with Ubuntu 14.04. I reported problems with this
last Fall, but the problem has gotten worse instead of better. My
original report no longer shows up in my bug list. The problem is NOT
with the printer. The duplexer works correctly in local mode.
Although I specify "long edge" double-sided, auto tray select, I get:
Letter size (wrong tray, the default tray -- the document is formatted
legal-size)
Single sided (all pages)
Second page is printed upside-down (as though I had specified
tumble-head, that is, short-edge double sided)
A blank fourth (and sometimes fourh and fifth) page is "printed" at the
end of the document, even though the document is only three pages long. The
source file contains only three pages - no dummy extra page like OO used to do.
On some print runs I have specified multiple copies, collated. Some are
specified to be printed in reverse order, but neither seems to make any
difference (might account for the fifth page -- have to check).
I have checked all the settings in the drop-down "file" tab and each of the
printer specification popups. They are set correctly.
Until recently, PDFs were printed correctly, but now neither *.odt nor
*.pdf files are printed correctly.
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04, fully up-to-date. The computer is an HP dv6 with
AMD A8 64-bit processor.
