Title:
[PPA] LibreOfficeDev upgrade breaks desktop integration
Status in libreoffice package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
On one of my desktops I get LibreOffice from
https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/ppa
The recent upgrade to 4.4.0.0.beta 1 breaks desktop integration. The entries
in Xubuntu's whisker menu do not have an icon, and returns an error message
saying:
Failed to execute command "libreofficedev4.4 --writer %U".
Failed to execute child process "libreofficedev4.4" (No such file or
directory)
When I try to start an ODT document from Dolphin (Kubuntu), the error message
reads:
KDEInit could not launch 'libreofficedev4.4':
Could not find 'libreofficedev4.4' executable.
Workaround:
* start a terminal
* start LibreOffice with the command `libreoffice &`
* use LibreOffice's own File dialog to open the document
Other than that, I am quite happy with the new version. A few changes
I have to get used to, but that's normal with any progress.
