In bug 783827, the project maintainer mentioned that the keyboard switcher was
disabled because it caused problems.

So I guess they're working on it.
I used the onscreen keyboard as a workaround, but that's far from
ideal...

Bug description:
This is a major regression over GDM, since having to type your
password with another layout is really a PITA.
Especially with mixed dvorak/non-dvorak users which have totally
different keyboard layouts.
