At the moment I have two power indicators: one coming from indicator-
power package, which is fine, and the other one being some sort of
remnant piece from gnome 2 environment. I have just upgraded to 11.10
and before I was a perfectly happy gnome 2 (classical interface) user.
The only thing that happens if the mouse goes on the bastard is that the
"tip" appears: "Laptop battery is charged" for obvious reasons. It does
not respond to any type of clicks.
I had also set: gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-
whitelist "['all']" as I have a bunch of everyday items that stay there
and it seems outrageous to add them one by one manually.
** Affects: gnome-settings-daemon (Ubuntu)
