To reproduce: > Try to manually arrange the items on the desktop (with keep-aligned off), then log out and log back in and notice that nautilus sorts the items in default alphabetic order. > To to change the sorting of a folder to 'Modified Date' + 'Reversed', navigate away from the folder and then come back to notice that nautilus changes the sorting back to alphabetical.
