Thanks for your analyze Raymond, i have to tell you that i only met recently that 'output devices' issue (about 2 months back max), even with the actual ac97 bios setting (as i know that bios is too old and dont propose the hda choice, but i will glance at it more closely again, and its the latest bios version available (no more maintained)).
That is, for the first time i'm changing for the mobo green jack as you suggest.
