I think I'm affected from the same bug. Banshee crashes after a few seconds after I start it. I have set up my music library which is on an ntfs partition. If I first unmount the partition then start banshee it wont crash and after mounting again its working until next login/reboot.

So far it is happening consistently - making Banshee unusable. I'm using a freshly installed Ubuntu 11.10 and haven't imported a library, just scanned my Music directory for songs. I've also disabled a few of the extensions such as podcasts, etc. ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: banshee 2.2.0-1ubuntu2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-12.20-generic-pae 3.0.4 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-12-generic-pae i686 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 1.23-0ubuntu3 Architecture: i386 Date: Mon Oct 17 15:24:15 2011 EcryptfsInUse: Yes InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Release i386 (20111012) SourcePackage: banshee UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/banshee/+bug/876194/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
