I can confirm this issue, but only when you scan `/`. When you scan `/home/<user>/` it works as one would expect.
It's hard to tell if this is "working as intended" since the `/home/<user>/` option works, and the `/` scans as if the home folder weren't mounted with encryptfs. While it may confuse newer users, perhaps adding a prompt that says, "Hey, I see you're using encryptfs. Want me to treat your filesystem the way it is, or the way encryptyfs is trying to present it?" instead of having this inconsistency may help. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to gnome-utils in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/444282 Title: baobab should be aware of ecryptfs private directories Status in gnome-utils package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-utils When using private directories, Baobab creates separate entries for the true filesystem (in ~/.Private) and the virtual filesystem (in ~/Private). The problem is more visible with a large ratio of files in private compared to out of it. At the least, one of these directories should be hidden.
