hi, I just bought a brand new Samsung Slim external DVD-RW drive and writing out to a blank disk. The writing process works up to 50-70 % of the writing process and then fails with the message that the drive is busy. I can still write on my aging Transcend DVD writer without any issues.

Enter DVD RW with data in drive. 2. Select content, choose the option to erase the disk, start burning & wait. 3. After the burning is done, the DVD is ejected wit the message/dialogue: "Error while burning. The drive is busy." After inspecting the disk I verified that data is present (did't do checksum, though). Similar situation: Brasero reports that disk cannot be ejected and requests that user does that manually.
