** Also affects: rhythmbox via https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=753676 Importance: Unknown Status: Unknown -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to rhythmbox in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1484869 Title: Crossfade produces beeping sound when playing some tracks from silence or when changing tracks Status in Rhythmbox: Unknown Status in rhythmbox package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I have Crossfade on for 3 seconds. When I play some tracks, a very clear beeping sound appears. It happens when the tracks are played from silence (nothing was playing before), or when tracks change (and of course crossfade). The beeping sound appears for some seconds at the beginning and stops. It doesn't stay for the whole track. This doesn't happen when Crossfade is off, or when I play the same tracks in Totem (Totem doesn't have Crossfade). It also doesn't happen when I play the same tracks in a media player which is not Gstreamer- based, like gnome-mplayer.
