# No I did not change any settings to display icons in menus. It just broke 
after upgrade to oneiric.
# Guest session: the guest session does not have any icons. I can't find any 
option in the preferences to enable it, so I don't remember how I enabled it in 
my session. I must have somehow enabled it a long time ago, probably in gutsy 
or hardy even...
# Icon theme: Ambience. Note that I had to manually reset this theme after 
upgrade. In natty, I also used Ambience, but after 
upgrade to oneiric was screwed up: everything looked ugly. So I manually had to 
reset the theme to Ambience again.

  Oneiric amd64, nautilus version 1:3.2.0-0ubuntu5.

  Open the "View" menu. The icons for "Zoom In", "Zoom Out" and "Normal
  Size" are missing.
