This is not fixed by closing the email client and restarting. Also, the message lists (sent, received, folders, etc.) do not match the folders on Gmail-- some messages are missing from them, seemingly at random. This is also affecting forwarded email, where I'll forward a message to someone and they ask what it is-- since Thunderbird has forwarded one of the garbled messages or forwarded a completely different message. Please let me know if I can provide debug information or more detail.
