Title: URL handling in gnome-terminal Status in GNOME Terminal: Won't Fix Status in “gnome-terminal” package in Ubuntu: Won't Fix Bug description: Binary package hint: gnome-terminal A URL in gnome-terminal that comes with Hardy(2.22.1), when it's longer than one line, is only recognized with the first line. For example, a URL http://aaa....b<-gnome-terminal width end here .org would be only recognized as "http://aaa...b", with ".org neglected. This was handled correctly in Ubuntu Dapper, which is of version 2.14.2. This bug degrades the usefulness of gnome-terminal URL recognition when there is a long URL present. A temporary workaround is to copy the binary of the gnome-terminal from the Dapper release, and copy the following two libraries liblaunchpad-integration.so.0 and libvte.so.4 from Dapper installtion to a place where hardy recognized To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/gnome-terminal/+bug/238463/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
