Title: cant change laptop brightness Status in “gnome-power-manager” package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: can`t change laptop brightness, software controls in settings center doesnt have any effect. while typeing on keyboard the status of the screen brightness changes [top right] but aktual brightness does not change. laptop dell vostro 3700. (yes, the one on the ubuntu homepage) using ubuntu 11.10 fresh install.
