What happens instead is as per off.png the indicator is gone. First, the Bluetooth indicator should always be present by default. This is a regression from Vivid. Second, it shouldn't remove the Bluetooth indicator when Bluetooth is Off unless the checkbox "Show Bluetooth status in the menu bar" is unchecked. WORKAROUND: Put Bluetooth into the ON position as per the attached screenshot on.png.
