If this bug (which still exists two years later) has already been reported, why do we not mark this one as a duplicate with a link to the active bug, which is hard to find. I can only find this younger bug, which was triaged (https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/577956)

When i was copying some files from a USB disk to my HDD, the power cable came detached and I was informed of an I/O error and given the option to Skip or Skip all. I replugged the power for the USB disk and clicked 'Skip' and the transfer completed minus one file. I wish there were a retry option, to save from having to go in and find that one file and copy it by hand. :) ProblemType: Bug Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Nov 5 22:26:11 2009 DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.10 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 9.10 "Karmic Koala" - Release amd64 (20091027) NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia Package: gvfs 1.4.1-0ubuntu1 ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.31-14.48-generic SourcePackage: gvfs Uname: Linux 2.6.31-14-generic x86_64 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/476106/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
