Title:
  Do not show error message when argument is a directory

Status in gedit:

Status in gedit package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  Hello,

  Why does gedit show an error message when the command line argument is a
directory?
  I have some c-files in my $HOME/src folder and I start gedit with:

  $ gedit ~/src

  Users prefer that Gedit would show the directory and its files in the
side-bar.
  Users prefer not to see and error message.
  Thanx a lot.
