I changed the acceleration from "sna" to "uxa" and things are working fine. What seems to be the problem with "sna" by the way?

After the reboot I get a screen with completely garbled text. I have a Intel 4 series chipset Integrated controller. glxinfo | grep render gives direct rendering: Yes and the Render string is Mesa DRI Intel(R) G45/G43. I have attached the screenshot. Please let me know if there are any workarounds for this so that I can continue my work.
