You have been subscribed to a public bug:
running live xubuntu 15.10 from usb stick. Synaptics ps2 touchpad
configured to act as simple mouse. Mouse cursor suddenly and frequently
jumps to screen edge with no reason. Problem not present in 15.04 with
same touchpad configuration but has occurred in some earlier versions.
Not prepared to upgrade as touchpad practically unusable.
