Upstream Gnome bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749976
seems to refer to the same bug: "When running in Unity, eog looks out of place due to the use of the GtkHeaderBar. If we place the GtkHeaderBar where a traditional toolbar would be and use the window manager decorations it fits in better." I added my original comment for this bug to their bug #749976, and also attached the same screenshot. ** Bug watch added: GNOME Bug Tracker #749976 https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=749976 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to eog in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1511616 Title: Version 3.16.3 under Lubuntu 15.10 does not respect window button placement Status in eog package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: I prefer to have the window close/minimize/maximize controls on the left, and have placed them there with Customize Look and Feel. However, eog places its own window controls on the right (with a different Theme, as well). I checked the Preferences, in case (as with Chromium) there were an option to "Use System Title Bar and Borders", but found none.
