Chris, I tried using a different kernel and an older installation. The left mouse button error occurred again in each case. I connected this keyboard and mouse to a windows 10 system and the left mouse button stopped working at times yet again. Simply, this isn't a software bug at all. Let alone an xorg bug.
I removed the plastic cover from the mouse. Then started testing directly with screw driver on the mouse button electronic. I kept clicking for a while and the error never appeared? I guess I needed to clean my mouse. I haven't experienced the left mouse button error since. It works fine right now. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1519082 Title: Left mouse bottom stops working Status in xorg package in Ubuntu: Incomplete Bug description: At times the left mouse events stop working. After a short moment the left mouse button starts working again. I'm using a Bluetooth mouse that connects to a dongle in a usb port. I was looking at the mouse events in three different test. As it turns out the mouse events stop showing up in all of these cases. xinput --test %id% sudo cat /dev/input/mouse0 watch -d -n 0.1 cat /proc/interrupts It's hard to spot when the interrupts stop showing up. You'll need to align and overlap the terminals closely and keep clicking until it occurs. If more people can reproduce this test. Then I figure it could be a kernal bug.
