I had a corrupted ~/.cache/oneconf directory, causing oneconf-server to crash (a KeyError in hosts.py: self.current_host['hostid']) and then I would see the same DBusException from the oneconf-query client as described above.
Deleting ~/.cache/oneconf fixed it for me. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to oneconf in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/839286 Title: oneconf-query crashed with DBusException in call_blocking(): org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name :1.75 was not provided by any .service files Status in oneconf package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: oneconf-service ProblemType: Crash DistroRelease: Ubuntu 11.10 Package: oneconf 0.2.6 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.0.0-9.15-server 3.0.3 Uname: Linux 3.0.0-9-server x86_64 Architecture: amd64 Date: Thu Sep 1 23:13:59 2011 ExecutablePath: /usr/share/oneconf/oneconf-query InstallationMedia: Ubuntu-Server 11.10 "Oneiric Ocelot" - Alpha amd64 (20110705) InterpreterPath: /usr/bin/python2.7 PackageArchitecture: all ProcCmdline: /usr/bin/python /usr/bin/oneconf-query --async-update ProcEnviron: PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_US.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash PythonArgs: ['/usr/bin/oneconf-query', '--async-update'] SourcePackage: oneconf Title: oneconf-query crashed with DBusException in call_blocking(): org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name :1.75 was not provided by any .service files UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to oneiric on 2011-09-02 (0 days ago) UserGroups: adm admin cdrom dialout lpadmin plugdev sambashare To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/oneconf/+bug/839286/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~desktop-packages More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
