Public bug reported:

I have no idea why the sound went out (assuming because I installed an
update), and no idea where the problem is.  I tried a number of things
from the internet, but nothing worked.  Forced a reload of alsa - no
luck.  Re-installed alsa pulseaudio - no luck.

Please help!  Thanks.
