Is there any update on this? This is 2016 and the problem seems to be still there... Are you sure this is a duplicate question after all.

What good is this to the user? I need to see what it's linked to. The only way I can find the full path is by using Bash and doing a 'ls -l' command in the directory. I advise that when you select the text, you can at least scroll to see the whole path. A screenshot will be submitted below.
