Title:
  applications cannot update settings

Status in nautilus package in Ubuntu:
  Incomplete

Bug description:
  I'm using Ubuntu 16.04.

Applications cannot change their settings. For instance when I change
an icons position in the desktop, then I update it; the icon returns
to default position. Also, when I change settings of TeXstudio and
then re-start it I get only last settings, new settings are not
  applied.

  I've applied : sudo chown [username]:[username] -R ~/.config
  but the problem persists.
