gdm interface doesn't show up

Bug description:
just did a fresh install of ubuntu-gnome-daily 13.04 on a thinkpad
sl510.
though the live-system worked just fine, gdm would show no interface
after the installation process (&reboot). just the blue-stripes-
background.
