Title:
Firefox should have separate tick box for disabling of data sharing of
the Firefox Health Report in the normal preferences area
Status in firefox package in Ubuntu:
Fix Released
Bug description:
It would be nice if like in the Windows and Mac version in Firefox,
for the Linux version of Firefox to also have the option in the normal
about:preferences to turn off data sharing of the Firefox Health
Report, as you can do this in about:healthreport, but it is not very
obvious there so it would be nice if there was an option here too:
about:preferences#advanced
Another thing on this matter is that when you disable data sharing in
about:healthreport, the tick box in about:preferences#advanced becomes
unticked, but as the tick box is meant to enable and disable both data
sharing and the actual generation of the report, it is misleading to
have it unticked, instead there should be a separate tick box there
for this option. It also means that one can think that their report
generation is not on, but in fact the data sharing has just been
disabled there. This also means that when one disables data sharing
there, they have no way to disable the entire report generation thing
because the box in the normal area become unticked.
