I confirmed that the latest PPA version was improved when rendering Japanese under a non-CJKV locale. But it may have negative effects for Chinese under a non-CJKV locale, because the font is changed. (I am a native speaker of Japanese but not Chinese.)

After the installation work, Japanese view of the slide show has encountered a problem that changes in Serif Font. It might have been output in the Chinese font.
