  New UNBUTU Gnome 2.30.2installation on Compaq HP Presario 1925TU -
  Soundcard recognised (not sure if correcty) icon & preferences
  available. ALSA drivers updated alsamixer OK, sound input OK. No sound
  output via loudspeakers or headset - completly mute
