Title: gedit freezes up entire OS Status in gedit package in Ubuntu: New Bug description: Recently, gedit has completely frozen up Ubuntu 14.04. The problem is random and not reproducible. This has happened 2x in about 1 week. Most recent trigger was clicking on X to close the gedit window. The previous trigger was clicking on a line for text editing. Only solution is to hold power button until system shuts down. Then restart to continue using the PC.
