I can confirm this bug, after updating from Ubuntu 10.04 to Ubuntu 11.10. However, it seems that I have found a workaround.I have uninstalled Evolution completely AND I have deleted its old folders:
~/.evolution ~/.cache/evolution ~/.local/share/evolution After reinstalling Evolution, it has remembered my configuration somehow, so it has started to download all my e-mails right-away, and the problem has vanished :-) I hope this info could helps others. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Desktop Packages, which is subscribed to evolution in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863960 Title: reading IMAP inboxes doesn't work: "no such table: mem.INBOX" Status in “evolution” package in Ubuntu: Confirmed Bug description: Hey there, I recently installed Ubuntu 11.10 Beta 2; with older Ubuntu versions I used Evolution for accessing my IMAP4 email accounts, so I installed it again and restored the settings file I exported from the old Evolution in Ubuntu 10.04. There's two bugs that might be connected: 1. Whenever I try to view the inbox I get an error instead: "no such table: mem.INBOX" So I can't read messages from my inbox but reading from the other directories works. 2. Not all the directories I have in my IMAP accounts are listed. Refreshing doesn't help, a lot of directories simply don't show up. I could not find any workaround for this on Google.
