Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Videos are tearing in VLC and mplayer no matter which video output I
choose (I tried xv,xv textured video,gl). Higher bitrate = more
tearing (1000kbps xvid: no tearing , 1500kbps x264: rare tearing,
5000kbps x264: lots of tearing).
