Title:
System update broken
Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:
New
Bug description:
System update easily broken. Here is the procedure. And I believe this
may happen to many Chinese users
I downloaded Sougou Pinyin (the most popular Chinese input app) from
official website which is released the same date 16.04 is released and
claims it supports 16.04.
I downloaded the file sogoupinyin_2.0.0.0072_amd64.deb, and double
click to install. Then Ubuntu Software window pops up. And I click
"install", then no response. And I clicked again, this time a "Waiting
to install" icon appears on the sidebar but never finishes. Then I
turned off my PC and turn it back on again, now I see a red icon
appears on top of top sidebar near time which indicates "An error
occurred. Please run Package Manager ..."
And since then I am not able to install any update.
I believe this is a blocker bug. And I have to re-install the system
again.
