In step 2, if launching from terminal, would not make mouse cursor turn busy. I noticed that the mouse cursor is not busy spinning when hovering over qt apps like Telegram and Spotify, but turns busy when hovering over unity-control-center and other GTK apps. The cursor will return to normal after a while.
