  gnome-terminal window does not restore it's size after been maximized

Status in gnome-terminal package in Ubuntu:

Bug description:
  gnome-terminal window does not restore it's size after been maximized

  how to reproduce:

  1) open terminal
  2) click maximize button in the window title 
  3) click maximize button once again

  window returns from maximize mode, you can see it's title, but it
  doesn't restore it's size: it still fills all the screen

  Release:      Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
  gnome-terminal: 3.18.3-1ubuntu1
