When I installed Ubuntu 16.04 I used Unity Tweak Tool to change some behaviors of Unity. Today I try to restore all pre-defined values and reboot. Unity top-bar and left-bar did not appear anymore. Then as suggested here:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/449845/problems-after-upgrading-to-14-04 -only-background-and-pointer-after-login/481620#481620 I try "Fix 5 - Clearing Unity" dconf reset -f /org/compiz/ setsid unity And now everything works again. I suppose that the problem is the option "Minimize single window applications on click". How that could be compatible with the normal behavior that if you have 2 opened windows of the same program, clicking on left-bar show 2 little windows that permit to select what you want to use?
